Career Development Awards

The Career Development Award Programs at Washington University provide high-quality, multidisciplinary training in clinical, translational, and comparative effectiveness research to promote the career development of future clinical investigators. These programs currently include the KL2 Multidisciplinary Career Development AwardsKM1 Comparative Effectiveness Research (CER) Career Development Awards, and the K12 Paul Calabresi Career Development Awards for Clinical Oncology, all of which provide financial support and benefits that allow scholars to focus on mentored research, supplemented by applicable coursework.

K12 Career Development Award for Clinical Oncology

The goal of the K12 Paul Calabresi Career Development Award for Clinical Oncology is to train a new generation of highly  skilled investigators with specialized expertise who will be well prepared to lead cancer research.  The K12 Clinical Oncology program supports the development of postdoctoral scholars and junior faculty through patient oriented cancer research training, curricula, and mentored projects.

KM1 Comparative Effectiveness Research Career Development Program

The KM1 CER Career Development Program is the first dedicated training program focused on Comparative Effectiveness Research (CER) at Washington University in St. Louis. The goal of the this program is to train a new generation of highly skilled investigators with specialized expertise, who will be able to identify the best practices in prevention, treatment, and monitoring of clinical conditions and health delivery systems. KL2 Career Development Program

The KL2 Career Development Award Program at Washington University in St. Louis provides high-quality, multidisciplinary training in clinical and translational research to promote the career development of future clinical investigators.
