The CRTC, working in conjunction with the Skandalaris Center for Interdisciplinary Innovation and Entrepreneurship, has developed several new training opportunities for students interested in translation of medicine through entrepreneurial endeavors. TL1 Postdoctoral Program in Accelerated Innovation
The objective of the TL1 Postdoctoral Program in Accelerated Innovation at Washington University is to demystify the processes of commercialization of new technology/translational discoveries by learning how to move projects to the next stage of commercialization and how to establish value-creating milestones, costs, and timelines. Entrepreneurial MSCI Thesis Option
It is now possible to complete the Master of Science in Clinical Investigation (MSCI) with an entrepreneurial related thesis project, in conjunction with entrepreneurial electives, and an externship with an experienced entrepreneur as mentor. This is an option to replace the degree’s traditional requirement of completion of a clinical research project culminating in submission of a peer reviewed manuscript to an appropriate journal. Evidence Based Entrepreneurial Workshop Series
Attend a free weekly lecture series on the Medical Campus, conducted by Emre Toker of the Skandalaris Center for Interdisciplinary Innovation and Entrepreneurship. This series covers information on how to identify viable new venture concepts, build plans for a sustainable and scalable enterprise, and get ventures off the ground!
