 ed by the NIH. Rigor refers to the application of the scientific method whi
 le emphasizing unbiased and well-controlled experimental design\, methodolo
 gy\, analysis\, interpretation\, and reporting of results. Reproducibility 
 refers to the ability of other researchers to obtain the same result given 
 the same data (i.e.\, strict "reproducibility")\, or obtain a similar resul
 t when a new sample of data is taken (i.e.\, do we get the same result acro
 ss studies? - sometimes referred to as "replication"). Dr. Lohse will discu
 ss threats to rigor and reproducibility\, and how to make your research mor
 e robust in a fast-paced scientific world.</span></p><p>This seminar is par
