About Randy Olson
Randy Olson trained as a mari ne biologist\, earning his Ph.D. from Harvard University and serving on the faculty at the University of New Hampshire before leaving academia to purs ue filmmaking at the University of Southern California. He is the creator o f the ABT Framework\, a narrative structure derived from s torytelling principles used in Hollywood that has become a widely adopted t ool in the scientific community for clear\, audience-centered communication .
Olson is the author of several acclaimed books on science communica tion\, including Houston\, We Have a Narrative\, and The Narrativ e Gym\, and has worked with NASA\, the National Academies of Sciences\, and research institutions worldwide to help scientists communicate with gr eater clarity\, impact\, and confidence.
