The K12 Career Development Program in Substance Use and Substance Use Disorder at Washington University in St. Louis provides clinician scholars financial support and coursework to focus on research in substance use and substance use disorder.

Program benefits

  • Protected research time: A minimum of 75% protected time must be guaranteed by each K12 Scholar’s department.
  • Up to $30,000 per year in research funds is provided to each scholar annually
  • K12 Scholars have access to the Clinical Research Training Center (CRTC). The CRTC provides computer labs, break-out rooms, classroom, poster printing, and administrative office suites.
