About Dr. Simmons
Joe Simmons, PhD is a professor, researcher, and author at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He has dedicated many years to investigating the psychology of judgment and decision-making, but he is best known for his work on research methods, particularly his efforts to identify and correct practices that can lead to fraud.
In 2013, Simmons co-founded Data Colada, a blog centered around “thinking about evidence and vice versa.” On the blog, he has explored topics such as data falsification, replication, and the evaluation of published research.
In 2018, he co-founded Wharton Credibility Lab, which aims to simply the research process and improve the integrity of published work. The lab provides access to resources like statistical software, a research file platform, and tools for evaluating research findings.
